Where do you live and how far will you travel?
I currently live next to Rotterdam in the Netherlands. There are many airports and highways around, from which I can go
anywhere. I love to travel and have been all over Europe, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Asia. Combining travelling and photography is what makes this the best job
How long will it take before you deliver the photos?
I can work really fast if necessary. Depending on the workload in post production I can get you the photos within a day, but if you’re not in a rush, let
me take my time and have them done within one or two weeks.
How do you deliver the photos?
I upload all photos into a private gallery from where you can view and download all files in jpeg. When TIFF-files are required, I'll send them over via WeTransfer.
What’s your day rate?
Each photography job is different, therefore I offer custom pricing depending on the requirements and goals of the photoshoot. Usually my full day rate starts at €750. Get in touch to discuss your wishes and get a quotation.
What’s your cancellation policy?
In the event of cancellation of a commission contract, at any point in time and for whatever reason I will be entitled to the agreed payment. In the event
of cancellation, a non-professional client will only owe a reasonably determined part of the payment, bearing in mind the work already performed. In the case of cancellation or force majeure
(e.g. illness) by me, you will be notified a.s.a.p. and you will have the right to terminate the contract.
Will you give me discount?
I don’t offer discounts in general. My services have been thoughtfully priced according to their value. However if the
photography job is a great addition to my portfolio, or when I can help a start up with a wonderful mission, I’m a bit more flexible.
How far in advance should I book you?
As soon as possible, but preferably latest about a week (or two) before your deadline. Send me a message to check for availability.
Why is professional photography so expensive?
In order to provide a high quality experience, a lot more is necessary than just me showing up
on the day of the photoshoot. You’re paying for years of study and experience, the time spent on concept development, consultation, administration, shoot preparation, travelling, post
production, licensing and expensive equipment that is being used to provide the best result possible. Remember you are adding a professional to your team that is there to help you reach your
Do you edit and retouch the photos yourself?
Yes! Quickly after the shoot I provide a first selection of unedited, watermarked, low resolution jpegs. I then edit and
retouch all of the photos you pick. Sometimes a client prefers me to edit my personal selection.
Can we get all raw or unedited files?
Nope. I forgot where I read it, but that’s like asking a baker to make a pie and also ask for all the leftover ingredients. Quickly after the shoot I provide a first selection of unedited, watermarked, low resolution jpegs, but these are not to be published anywhere.
Do you also take family portraits?
As a fashion and portrait photographer I do not focus on family portrait photography. But if you’re keen and have a creative idea ready, you can always reach out to me!
Do you photograph weddings?
I occasionally photograph weddings, but I have one rule.. I have to vibe with the couple and style of the wedding. If you’re laid back, flower lovers, enjoy a
bohemian or rock ‘n roll wedding theme and have a fun loving attitude, then hit me
up! Oh, and if you have a lot of tattoos or pastel colored hair, consider me in already. ;)
How did you become a vegan photographer?
I’ve got a fairly big tattoo of my own two lovebirds. These tiny parrots mean the world to me. While traveling through the USA
for a month in 2017, I thought to myself: “if I love these tiny creatures so much I would dedicate a piece of skin to them, then why do I eat the meat of similar creatures who have
personalities and intelligence, just like my beloved birds?” I quit eating meat on the day we flew back home.
How do you cope with being vegan in the fashion industries?
Let’s be honest here. Being a vegan and working in the fashion industries can be tough. It means that as far as fashion goes, I have to put my
enthusiasm on hold until I’ve done my research. But the thing about fashion is that it isn’t just about the same old rules anymore. It’s about the spirit of the
times. It may provoke and exclude, but it can also inspire and invite. More and more people are becoming aware and are looking for fair, slow and cruelty
free fashion. My goal is to help spread the love by working with brands that share this vision.
Can we work together on something besides a photoshoot?
Sure! Let me know what you have in mind and I'll come back to you a.s.a.p.
